BREAKING: Bahamas Petroleum Company says its exploratory well in Bahamian waters has failed to produce oil in any commercial quantity.

BPC said drilling on the Perseverance #1 well has ceased at a depth of approximately 3,900 meters, and the well will now be permanently plugged and abandoned.
